Investiture ceremonies September 2022
In the absence of the Governor-General while she attended the Queen’s funeral, the Chief Justice and Justice Glazebrook have acted as the Administrators of the Government for the investiture ceremonies held at Government House. Justice Glazebrook, as second most senior member of the judiciary, performed the role of administrator while the Chief Justice was out of the country.
Among those receiving Honours were Sir Heughan (Hugh) Rennie, KNZM, CBE, KC (for services to governance, the law, business and the community), Dame Carolyn Henwood, DNZM (for services to the State, youth and the arts), Judge Andrew Becroft, QSO (for services to the judiciary, children and youth), Ms Lynda Hagen ONZM (for services to law and the community), Professor Jacinta Ruru MNZM (for services to Māori and the law), Mrs Maha Galal MNZM (for services to the Muslim community) and Dame Judy (Judith) McGregor (for services to human rights and health).
